I'm tempted to buy this piece of art, Texas Sprinkler in August," in order to remind myself this constitutes art, and people will pay $150 for it. I always assign all this significance to "art," but, in fact, people will buy a piece like this. Of course, I would be the one buying it. I'd buy it to remind myself people will buy it. I would be that person. I'd want to remind myself people will buy it.
Is this circular logic? I think it might just be stupid navel gazing.
