Heart of Darkness

I'm a fool (to which many of you say, "we know.").
I haven't promoted the improv class I'm teaching!

I'm teaching improv y'all! A six week course, beginning July 28th! The cost is only $60. If you're strapped for cash, you can pay me in installments. I'm not worried about the money. I would hate for you to skip the class over money. I teach because I love improv (I can refer you to any of my friends who will gladly agree, "Paul? Oh yah, he thinks about improv 24/7. He's insane.").

Starting: July 28, 2009
Schedule: 6 weeks

Location: ComedySportz Training Center (2230 Arden Way, Suite A, Sacramento, CA 95825)

Cost: $60

Reservations: Required

Why shoud you take classes from me? Well, I've studied improv for five years in Chicago, LA, Seattle, and San Francisco with some of the biggest names. Here is a partial list of the teachers I've worked with:

Brian Shortall, Nick Armstrong, Dave Hill, Aaron Krebs, David Razowsky, Kevin McShane, Rob Mello, Tim Orr, Gerri Lawlor, Laura Derry, Kimberly MacLean, Barbara Scott, Regina Saisi, William Hall, Jeff Sloniker, Zoe Galvez, Joe Bill, Mark Sutton, Shana Merlin, Shannon McCormick, Melissa Cathcart, Jay Olson, Susan Messing, Rich Talarico, Craig Cackowski, Rachel Mason, Seth Weitberg, Colleen Murray, Brian Jack, and Craig Uhlir.

Improv is my passion, and I'll teach you to be the best player possible. Bigger, faster, stronger. That'll be you. But, don't just take my word for it, believe the advertisement too:

In six weeks, learn the basics of long form improv. Long form improv is used in movies (40 Year Old Virgin, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and Anchorman), and tv shows (Curb Your Enthusiasm). Some of the today’s most famous comedians improvise (Steve Carrell, Stephen Colbert, Will Ferrell, Amy Poehler, and Tina Fey), and you can too!

Learn how to trust and support your team, create a character, initiate a scene, build an environment, and develop a two person scene, and end scenes. Walk out of the class with the tools to be a great improviser. Trusting and supporting your fellow team members is rule number one! Improv can be intimidating, and self judgment is crippling. It’s important to have people you trust on stage. You’re part of a team! The class is ideal for beginners looking to pick up the long form basics, or intermediate improvisers looking to hone their skills. In addition to learning long form improv, you will also learn the long form improv structure called Break. The class will culminate with a performance at ComedySportz Sacramento.

And [Yes and...] I also publish a NEW improv game every Monday on the site. (I've been doing it since January so check it out.)

Yes and....Please share with me any new games you're playing.
