What I Needed

Last Thurs. I agreed to a long form session of improv with Rick, Leeman, and Betsy. Honestly, I was exhausted, and didn't want to participate. I was flattered they wanted to work with me, but it had been a long week, I was beat from class, rehearsal, improv jam, and hosting. I wanted a night to myself, but I know I need to improve my "game," so I agreed.

I'm glad I agreed, because it was precisely what I needed. Working long form is magical. That might sound absurd, but there's nothing quite like growing, and watching a scene grow. I remember watching Leeman and Betsy play out a scene last Thurs., and I was overwhelmed with joy. Here I was, in a studio, working with people I respect, creating a world. It's amazing to be a part of. I was revitalized. I needed that jolt of happiness, and I always find it in the studio, with friends.
