Sound the trumpets, or kazoos, or...something, because this moment needs a flourish. I've committed the unthinkable (for me, anyway). I blew a grand over the weekend in the "grand" (ha!) pursuit of homeifying my family room. That's right! Purchases? A couch, chair, coffee table, side table, 2 lamps, four pieces of art, 1930's projector (supposedly, still works), 1930's radio (quite clearly, from appearances, does not work), and a shag rug. Better then all that though was my composure when I droppin' the Bens (shorthand for Benjamins, son!).
You're probably just itchin' to see the room, and with the magic of digital photography you can. Below are some before and after picks.

FYI:
The current state of the room isn't the final vision. When pay off the credit cards for this lil' spree, I plan on buying some framed movie posters, place them by the radio, and get some more lighting. The current lamps, while uber-cool-modern looking, give off a pitiful amount of light utilized only for setting moods - when I'm seducing women and suggesting the boudoir may be a better place to get to know one another (I'm such a cad!).
