Did I mention I dropped an American River film class in the last month because the teacher was nearly deaf. Oh yah, and his eyesight wasn't quite perfect either (let's say, half-blind). He was a hard-of-hearing, hard-of-seeing Rascal drivin' teacher.
Now, yes, let me assert, discrimination can be bad, but perhaps the system is a big whacked out when someone gets a position teaching an entirely visual and auditory medium, and they can't hear or see well. Am I coming off as a barbarian? Are my requirements for a teacher to strict? Maybe you're right, maybe they are.
I'd love to continue this discussion but I have to go teach speed skating. Have I ever speed skated? Well, no, but is that important?
P.S. I've come across harsher then I intended to initially. I just found it amusing, and worth relating to you that a film class is being run by the previously mentioned gentleman. I should add, the teacher was very amicable, and I don't wish him any ill will. My only concern: how helpful can he be in film analysis with his condition?
