So I get a call from my dad this evening. We talk a bit about my brother who was just accepted into the Army's Infantry division (Congrats Adam, that's awesome). Do you know what that means? It means he'll get to attend Ranger School, and he's happy, so I'm happy.
After congratulating my brother on his success, dad mentions my Atari stock rocketed upwards of 15%, in one day. One day! “Oh my god, oh my god, oh my god” (actual quote. I wrote it down so I wouldn’t forget.) I was ecstatic. I bought....well....a lot of shares of Atari and in one day I made...well...a lot of money. Sure I'm happy for my brother, but let's focus on me here, I made money, and all I had to do was risk a ton on a risky stock. Well, I never thought Atari was a bad buy. Everyone, even investors laughed at my grab for Atari, they all laughed! But look at me now! Haha! Investing is such a rush.
You probably want to know how I invest, and ok, I'll tell yu’. I'm what one would call a bottom feeder. I look for those stocks trading under $5 and buy as many shares as I can afford. Now, keep paying attention! Don't get antsy, and make a blind grab for all Under Five Dolla’ shares, because they're not all Paul Approved (phrase copyright: pending). The PI (Paul Investor) looks for the sickly stock, stock with plummeting value; kryptonite for many, sustenance for the PI.
Recognize the company whose stock is slipping fast? You do? Then good god man, buy. buy, buy! My rule of thumb: If the company has been around for "awhile," and is underperforming, well, it'll eventually come around and perform well. Granted, the term "awhile," is relative, use your best judgment; I have faith in you.
Have the educated investors panned my stock tips? Probably, but until I lose money, I'll ignore them.
-The End-
This has been another My Thoughts
