Do I sound like I'm from Tennessee? Do I have that twang? Exactly! I don't.
As I was peddlin' last night, a guy insisted I sounded Midwestern. He was shocked I had never heard that before.
I love sellin' water...you have so many I-need-to-remember-this moments interacting with people. Of course, there are some drawbacks to huckin water. For example, I sell under a tunnel that acts as a giant wind tunnel. Wind is infinitely more intense down there. My voice is horse today because I had to shout through the wind. Sixty degrees last night and I'm encouragin people to buy water. You feel like a dope pushin chilled water on a chilly evening. People love their water though. Despite the wind and temp. I sold enough to make last night (somewhat) profitable.
Only a handful of playoff games left. I'm lookin forward to moving on to something else. I need some variety. I'm definitely getting into sales, though. Water has left me with a love of moving product and closing a deal. You can't duplicate the rush you get making a big sale. It's an adrenaline shot mixed with pride mixed with contentment. I'll chase that feeling for the rest of my life.
